History of plastic constructions
There is double sealing in modern glazing unit . This technology was developed and implemented in 1970, but UPVC windows began to conquer the world years earlier. Since the polyvinyl chloride appeared (PVC – a synthetic polymer that is used for windows and doors production), there have been constant attempts to implement it into industrial production, including windows.
The first window factory and the first UPVC window frames appeared in the 1950s . Lots of UPVC window factories have been opened in Europe and America within ten years, and their popularity had been increasing from year to year. The possibility of installing PVC windows and doors in Ukraine appeared in the 1990s.
Initially, they were used for greenhouses, but gradually their field of application has expanded. In a few years UPVC constructions have almost replaced wooden ones everywhere: on factories, in offices and in apartments.The first window factory in Ukraine was built more than ten years ago. Gradually, the number of window manufacturers has increased, and windows from the manufacturer became more available.
Today, UPVC constructions are present in every house, as they are decent and affordable alternative to wooden windows. They are easy to install,have variety of designs, they retain heat perfectly, have sound insulation properties and are relatively cheap. Their lifetime can significantly exceed the lifetime of wooden windows. Due to this, more and more of our fellow citizens have UPVC windows and doors in their homes.
